The Center has assisted the town of Sto. Tomas in putting up its first parish museum, under the auspices of parish priest Fr. Joseph Mary Bacay.

Aside from technical advice, the staffers of the Center put together a timeline mural, pictorial exhibits and specimens of stone and wood that were part of the old Sto. Tomas church edifice. “We want this first museum to succeed so that it becomes a model and inspiration for other parishes in Pampanga,” Tantingco said.

“Parish priests who renovate churches should set aside a small room as parish museum. We will help them design it and stuff it.” Meanwhile, Prof. Regalado Trota Jose, in cooperation with the Center, has started writing a book on Pampanga church history and heritage.
