In an effort to popularize Kapampangan language and literature among children, the Center did its own version of Jose Rizal’s illustrated fable of the monkey and the tortoise, entitled I Paû ampo i Matsin.

Resident archaeologist/artist Joel Mallari did the watercolor enhancement of the sketches, while Ana Marie Vergara did the layout. Consultant Lino Dizon translated the original English text into Kapampangan; Erlinda Cruz edited it.

Storytelling sessions using PowerPoint presentation of this fable are part of museum tours at the Center, especially for schoolchildren.
