Research Journal No. 2 is Out

The Center has announced the release of the second issue of Alaya: Kapampangan Research Journal, with the theme Filipinos and Kapampangans During Nascent Colonial Contacts and Evangelization (1571-1715).

Edited by Prof. Lino L. Dizon, the issue is refereed by an international panel composed of John Larkin (State University of New York at Buffalo), Buichiro Watanabe (Nihon University at Mishima), Joseph P. McCallus (Columbus State University), Emmanuel F. Calairo (De La Salle University at Dasmariñas) and Lydia Yu Jose (Ateneo de Manila University).

Articles include: Pampanga, 1571, Compared with Sumatra and Java, 1511 by Edilberto V. Santos; Doubting a Hero’s Name by Jose Victor Z. Torres; Metallurgy in Early Kapampangan Society by Joel P.
